Over 400 internationals at NY-party

On January 12th over 400 internationals celebrated the new year with us!

The Expats Utrecht Facebook group has grown exponentially in recent years. This thriving community reached a membership of over 13,000. This called for a celebration! Expats Utrecht and ITC therefore organized this big party in Tivoli on Friday, January 12th. The mayor of Utrecht, Jan van Zanen opened with some words. Never had this many internationals attended a gathering in Utrecht before.

The Expats Utrecht Facebook group is a wonderful source of information and support for newcomers and plays an important role in the increasing internationalization of the Utrecht Region. Together with ITC, we threw a party, providing newcomers with the chance to meet other new international (and internationally minded) people living, working or studying in Utrecht. The party was a big hit, prizes were won, our major Jan van Zanen gave a wonderful speech and the DJ played some great music. And for the people who were not done partying yet, the Tivoli offered free tickets for an afterparty at the Tivoli.
