The International Welcome Centre Utrecht Region is staffed by volunteers of ACCESS, a not-for-profit organisation which provides no-cost services to internationals across the country. Our IWCUR volunteers are happy to help you with all kinds of services. They can provide you with information, guidance and support regarding almost everything but formalities which are handled by governmental departments. However, the IWCUR can help you to refer to the appropriate municipality or IND staff for assistance when needed, or direct you to the right service desk. Furthermore, the IWCUR staff can help you with questions related to living, working and studying in the Utrecht Region, inform you about upcoming events for internationals and help you settle in your new life as easily as possible.
To get you started, we divided our services into two sections: formalities and soft landing services. Please feel free to contact our volunteers or visit the IWCUR in case of any questions left unanswered.
Stichting ACCESS is a not-for-profit organisation established in The Hague in 1986.
At ACCESS we provide no-cost services to internationals across the country through our Helpdesk located in our back-office in The Hague. Since 2012 we have further extended our support to personally respond to and serve internationals through partnerships with municipal expat centres in The Hague, Amsterdam, Utrecht, and Leiden.
We do this by consistently maintaining a staff of nearly 150 volunteers representing 45+ countries – each one of whom brings to ACCESS their own personal international experiences of living and adjusting to the cultures of countries other than their home country. These volunteers are the essence of ACCESS’ understanding of and empathy for the challenges inherent to individual and family integration into a new culture.
Furthermore ACCESS also provides services to the community through our childbirth courses, on-call Counsellors and training network.
If you have any questions ACCESS is always here to help you.
