Ensure a merry Christmas for your lonely fellow citizens!
Loneliness is a pressing social problem which is even more evident during the holiday season. For that reason the NL Cares foundation organises volunteer activities at social institutions in your neighbourhood throughout December.
Your help is much needed during this period. All Warm Winter Week activities are aimed towards connecting volunteers and lonely citizens in your city. Your lonely fellow citizens often lack a social network and have less social interactions with others than they would like. Just a few hours of your time can make a huge difference. As an example, you can join a Christmas dinner in a residential care centre, make Christmas centerpieces together with elderly or enjoy a Warm Winter campfire with hot chocolate. This is how we fight loneliness this Christmas.
