Sharing & Caring
The year of 2020 has been defined by the COVID-19 pandemic, which has led to a global social and economic disruption, cancellations and postponements of events and worldwide lockdowns. Now, more than ever, we have the need to connect, to share the holiday spirit and socialize. We want to give back; to care for one another. That is why we hope you join the initiatives below: to connect and support each other in these challenging times. Amazing things happen when we support each other.

Support your locals
A lot of entrepreneurs and business are affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. They try to get creative to survive these challenging times. That is why we ask you, when you are preparing the celebration of the holiday season, to consider supporting these locals first. Here is a list of businesses who could use your help!
Donate to help those in need
We need your help! Due to COVID-19, more and more people rely on the support of others to be fed. At times like these, when we all have to keep our social distance, we also need to remain connected. Therefore, we would like to kindly ask you to support your neighbours, friends, colleagues and strangers whom are facing food insecurity during the holidays.
In the Netherlands, the Voedselbank helps those who cannot afford food by providing them with temporary food aid. They rely on help of companies, municipalities and individuals for donating money and food to continue their services.
Our planned food collection and donation is cancelled due to the new coronavirus measures. However, you can still support those in need by donating money to the Voedselbank Utrecht. Will you join and donate some money too?
The Voedselbank Utrecht relies as much on financial donations as food donations. They need the financial contributions to pay their rent, petrol and crates to be able to get to food to those in need. You can help them out by donating some money. On this Voedselbank's website (in Dutch) you can donate by filling in your name and the amount of money that you want to donate. You can pay via an online transaction (iDEAL). Click the link below to donate.
We know things will get better, we just don’t know when. Until that time comes, your kind support is needed to help the less fortunate and offer them a helping hand. Because Christmas is a time for sharing & caring.
