Our projects
As ambassadors, we work on fun and inspiring projects to help the internationals in Utrecht Region truly settle in and enjoy their time here. We want to make sure that they will find their way, that their needs are met and that they have access to the services and information they need. To achieve this, we work together with companies and organisations in Utrecht Region. You can find an overview of the projects that we have worked on below.

Dutch Conversation Night
Dutch Conversation Night
The ambassadors organised a fun and informal online get-together for internationals on 28 April 2021 to practice their Dutch speaking skills. During this succesful night, they could forget about mistakes and enjoy playing a game and making Dutch conversation with up to four other Dutch learners at a time in a series of Zoom breakout sessions.

Ha-Pie King's Day
A ‘Ha-Pie Day’ King's Day 2021 for the elderly people of Verpleeghuis de Lichtenberg. The ambassadors surprised them with homemade pies to brighten up their days in these challenging covid times. This wonderful action got a follow-up when the Taiwanese community delivered cupcakes to widowed elderly.

Many internationals were not able to return to their home countries to celebrate the December 2020 holidays due to COVID-19 measures. To help internationals have a lovely holiday season, we created a website with fun online activities and information about Dutch traditions.
