Obtain a DigiD
When you live and work in the Netherlands you need a DigiD, short for digital identification, to safely access (government) services.
Open a bank account
Once you are registered and have received a BSN number, you can open a Dutch bank account.
Arrange health insurance
It is compulsory to take out Dutch health insurance within four months of registering with the municipality.
